This department is responsible for preserving and promoting diverse culture and heritage, including art, archaeology, and various forms of artistic expression. Cultural affairs departments, KAAC is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and developing all forms of art and culture both tangible and intangible, ensuring the region's cultural heritage is protected and celebrated
The 13th Rangsina Sarpo Film & Folk Artist Award 2025 was successfully organized by the Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with the Karbi Film Society.
The “Karbi Aron Barim Chingrum Amei” programme was successfully held on 18th April 2025 at the Karbi People’s Hall, Taralangso.
The 56th Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Divas was observed with solemnity and cultural pride today at the Karbi People's Hall (KPH), Taralangso, Diphu in collaboration with the Karbi Film Society.
A crucial review meeting regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) and the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) was held on Monday May 20th 2025 at the Karbi People's Hall, Taralangso.
50th Karbi Youth Festival, Golden Jubilee 2024, organized by the Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with the Karbi Film Society. The Festival is Considered one of India's Oldest Ethnic Festival.
A Karbi cultural troupe representing the Karbi Traditional Music, Culture and Research Institute brought pride to the district by securing 1st place in the All India Folk Dance (Open Category) at the All India Multilingual Drama, Dance & Music Festival/Contest, held in Pune, Maharashtra, from May 21 to June 1, 2024.
In a proud and historic moment for the Karbi community, a team of Karbi artists made a remarkable mark at the 14th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts (COPA) held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 7th November 2024.
The longest moving line of people walking on stilts! The previous record was 250, and now Karbi Anglong made a new record with 721 person.
With the Cultural Troupe represented the rich and vibrant heritage of Karbi Anglong, the performers in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This annual celebration of artistic excellence recognized outstanding contributions.
